Horse energy. Calming. Flowing. Free. In the present. Herd oriented. Yet, a prey animal. How do they survive?
In this workshop you will learn to still your energy and vibrations and shift from human to horse perspective working with one of the most “heart to heart felt” horse breeds, the mustang. The first part of this day long class is offered by Jo Maldonado. Jo has worked with many animals and people and has the ability to “shift” the energy of the human so they can relate better with their animals. The first portion of the workshop will include the following: stilling mental exercises to release your human brain and body language, mild physical movements to open up energy meridians, breath alignment and energy awareness exercises. No experience is necessary. The physical exercises are very gentle and incorporate some qigong and yoga movements and are geared towards aligning your energy with the horse. Physical challenges are adjusted accordingly.
The second part of the day is offered by Diane Delano, whom I call “The American Horsewoman”, a woman who has devoted her life and love to help the American Wild Horse know as the Mustang, and who has worked with wild mustangs for the past 24 years. She has had the privilege and honor of releasing many mustangs back to western sanctuaries so that they may be gently reintroduced back into herds giving back their lives as free roaming mustangs. Many of the rescued mustangs choose to bond and enjoy the company of humans so these mustangs are then adopted into new homes. In this portion of the class you will learn to connect to the inner wild horse along with understanding the horses’ body language, sensing behavior problems, physical challenges or mental issues, and getting to be one with the “horse energy” of the mustang. You will be working with a horse, or group of horses directly in this portion. Your body language will align with the horses directly, you will be able to connect mentally. “The wild horse experience is spiritually enriching, and the mustang is amazingly connected to humans. To look into their eyes and see their hearts, is heart-felt and life changing” says Diane.
